SUMMARY:Basic course „animal welfare/laboratory animal science“ (formerly FELASA B-course) for people who work with animals (taking care\, killing animals and carrying out procedures) EU functions A\, C\, D Species: mouse & rat
DESCRIPTION:For scientific work with animals (caring for and killing animals\, performing procedures on animals; EU functions A\, C\, D)\, within the EU\, but also in non-EU countries\, proof of expertise in laboratory animal science in theory and practice is required.\nFor this purpose\, the TiHo offers courses in English for the species mouse and rat\, which content is equivalent to the former FELASA-B courses.\nThese courses are certified by GV-SOLAS and accepted by the ATF with 39 hours. \nRegulations for apprentices \nBiology lab technician apprentices \n\nCourse registration is only possible within the second year of training.\n\nAnimal caretaker apprentices: \n\nCourse registration is only possible after completion of the apprenticeship.\n\n  \nCourse schedule:\nOnline theory course in combination with practical training in presence.\nCourse block 1: Teaching of theoretical knowledge (12 days)\nHow? asynchronous E-learning and theoretical exam (self-study with free time management)\nWhere? Moodle \nWeek 2: Teaching of practical skills (4 days)\nHow? Training in small groups\nWhere? TiHo\, Bischofsholer Damm 15\, building 123 \nMultiple registrations using the same name are not possible and will be cancelled. \nAt the start of the theory lesson\, the course documents will be made available to you. Successful course participation is confirmed by a certificate in english and german. \n  \nCost:\n0 € for the first registration of doctoral students with a TiHo-employment contract\, employees\, enrolled veterinary students (practical year) and enrolled M.Sc. students (min. 3. semester) at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover\n2100 € for external paticipants and following registrations of doctoral students with a TiHo-employment contract\, employees\, enrolled veterinary students (practical year) and enrolled M.Sc. students (min. 3. semester) at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover \nA cost-free cancellation after registration is only possible 30 days prior start of the course. \nRegistrations from doctoral students with a TiHo-employment contract\, employees\, enrolled veterinary students (practical year) and enrolled M.Sc. students (min. 3. semester) of the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover must be done with their TiHo-mailadress and IDM-number. \nRegistrations from doctoral students with a TiHo-employment contract\, employees\, enrolled veterinary students (practical year) and enrolled M.Sc. students (min. 3. semester) of the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover with their private mailadress and/or without their IDM-number will be  invoiced as external participants. \nFor more information on the course follow the link: \ncourse information
